Crazy Crayons

Hello!
Today I am going to tell you about a recycling crayon program called Crazy Crayons.

WHAT?
This is a recycling program for broken crayons, used, unwanted crayons.

WHY?
Recycling is good for the environment. Broken crayons go to landfills and the crayons don’t even break down. They just sit there for years. Recycling crayons reduces waste because the broken crayons will be made into new crayons and given to kids that need them.

HOW?
Collect a box of broken crayons with wrappers on, send them to this address:
CRAYON RECYCLE PROGRAM
c/o Opportunities Unlimited
Community Work Center
2680 Oneida Lane
Rhinelander, WI 54501

WERE?
Collect crayons from
- around your house
- from restaurants
- from schools
- from friends

WHEN ?
The box is full mail it off!

Also - you can purchase recycled crayons in all sorts of shapes and sizes from the program as well.
For more information go to http://www.crazycrayons.com/
Thank you!

Action! Cut! Action! Cut! Action! Cut! Action! Cut!

I was in the filming of a movie last Saturday it is called “The Tamed Ones”. It’s about a young brother and sister living in a poor town in North America. I was am extra. That means that I was in the background, not a main actor.
We had to wait a long time while the crew filmed other scenes, with other people. Finally it was my turn. My job was to hide on some stairs and walk down some hallways. I did it over and over again because if somebody coughs or messes up a line, we had to start over again.
When we started to act they called out
"action!" and when we were supposed to stop, they called out "cut!".
I heard the words "action" and "cut" about 50 times!

I liked acting a lot! My favorite part was when we hid under the stairs.
Acting as an extra was fun and I was even paid 50 Euro. I would have done it for free because I had such a good time!

This is a picture of me after our busy day of acting. My mom took my sister and me to a Thai restaurant to celebrate our big day.

A Journal of My Recent Travels

Applesauce

Recent Books I've Read

I have been reading some books that I would recommend .
Great Dog Stories Of All Time , edited by Fairfax Downey and illustrated by Albert Orbaan.
This is collection of adventurous stories about dogs.
The Book of Virtues, by William J. Bennett. This book has lots of moral stories for kids. Each story has an important lesson inside. My favorite one was Chicken Little.
The last book I’d recommend that I’ve recently read is called Grossology and You by Sylvia Branzei. This book is about gross stuff in your body like blood, pus, sneezing, bumps, hiccups, and bruises. My aunt bought it for my birthday and I really enjoyed it. .
