Crazy Crayons

Hello!
Today I am going to tell you about a recycling crayon program called Crazy Crayons.

WHAT?
This is a recycling program for broken crayons, used, unwanted crayons.

WHY?
Recycling is good for the environment. Broken crayons go to landfills and the crayons don’t even break down. They just sit there for years. Recycling crayons reduces waste because the broken crayons will be made into new crayons and given to kids that need them.

HOW?
Collect a box of broken crayons with wrappers on, send them to this address:
CRAYON RECYCLE PROGRAM
c/o Opportunities Unlimited
Community Work Center
2680 Oneida Lane
Rhinelander, WI 54501

WERE?
Collect crayons from
- around your house
- from restaurants
- from schools
- from friends

WHEN ?
The box is full mail it off!

Also - you can purchase recycled crayons in all sorts of shapes and sizes from the program as well.
For more information go to http://www.crazycrayons.com/
Thank you!

  1. What a great program, Addie. I checked out the website you posted as well. I'm glad that you are a kid that cares about the earth. That makes me a proud Aunt! I didn't know that a recycling program even existed so thank you for teaching me something new.
